Running Away

Postby Adrian Jones » Tue Sep 14, 2010 4:16 pm

Just a quick note to say that I will be away for a week from tomorrow, up in Gateshead.

I'm working on a building project for one of my brothers (walls and windows and roofs and things), so there won't be many PCs around. I'll try and catch up with stuff in the evening, but my nephews can be a bit demanding!

And I'll be completing the Great North Run by about 12:40 on Sunday. Catch me on BBC1! (Well, me and 54,000 others...)

Hi Ben,

Not too bad -- was aiming for getting in under two hours, which i just did -- 1 hr, 59 mins, 18 secs. Not my best, but not my worst either!

It's a crowded race, though -- was forever either stuck behind someone going slower, or sprinting into the gaps as they opened up. Long distance has to be run at a steady pace, not a stop-start one.
