SQL date and time datatype

Postby Stewart Allen » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:14 pm

Hi All

This was posted on the DE forum. it seems there is more action over here and the OLEDB issues should be similar.

Does anyone know how to pass correct date AND time values over to an Oracle Date datatype field.

If the date only is sent, then the time portion is understandably 00:00:00.

I need to populate the date and time.

Using a text variable and passing "TO_DATE('2005-10-08 12:00:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')" does not work.

concat(DateField," ",TimeField) does not work.

using Extended Date and Time variables also do not work.

Any ideas?
