Is Ffenics Windows 7 compatible?

Postby Pete Tabord » Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:04 am

YES!

It has been extensively tested with Windows 7 and the only known issue is a GPF when using the colours dialog. This occurs under 64bit Windows 7 only and will be fixed in the 1.52 release.

There may also be an issue with the strfunc ELF, although this in any case was only supplied as a 'sample'.

If used on a shared database Ffenics is fully compatible with the new Microsoft network shells (sorry, that's an outdated term, probably should call them 'services') introduced with Vista, and does not require any special registry settings. But note that home versions of Windows 7 do not fully support record level locking, exactly as was the case with XP and Vista.
