Missing Serialization file

Postby robb » Tue Oct 11, 2011 10:49 am

I am looking at a DE6.52 system that comes up with the error 'Missing serialization file' when trying to reorganise a table (there is no form with it just a table). This same error also prevents a backup from working when it gets to this table. This error seems to have been in the system for some time however the other day a computer problem has given rise to other errors which can't be sorted as this one stops you doing any of the logical processes to fix it.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to sort this one?

Robb, search the hard drive for all the *.DBI files, in particular the appl*.dbi and place it in the data folder. Here's an old post about it:
Go to the original database and copy all the .DBI files (especially appl*.dbi) to the directory where you'll be doing the restore.
