Win7 workstations, Novell server-DFD 5.15i

Postby Phil Winkler » Sat Dec 21, 2013 1:52 pm

New client in Baltimore, but have known the DFD developer there for years. She needs our help with this situation. DFD is still configured for Novell Netware, but I seem to recall Novell abandoned its Client32 in favor of standard Windows and so requiring Lan Manager as the network setting.

What is odd that when I try to execute install.exe in the T:\DE5 folder I get an error that INSTALL.EXE is not a 32 bit program and it won't run. Nor will any other exe like whatver in that folder. Yet DE16M runs fine.

I have a proper configur.dat I can upload to change the network type, but has anyone else seen these exe errors? It is 32 bit Win7, too.

I have Win7 on a Mac...but don't recall having issues w/Install.exe.... but it has been a while... and I'm old...

My stuffs is running on an XP machine... if you don't have an XP machine to fix the configure.dat, you can send it to me... I'll waive our normal contractual obligations and fees just because I'm a nice guy...

All HP Win7 pcs. no XP, but we've got proper configur.dat files to upload there.

Appreciate you waiving the usual case of beer price, too. Hope you have a great Christmas and New Years, too.
