There may be some issues in going backwards, but that does not mean they can't be overcome.

I have a client who 'looked' at a 1.6x version with Ff 2.0, and it seemed to cause issues only with the RDRR file, which is the system data file that connects the form SALESPERSON to the the files SALEAAA.DBM/TDF etc.

With a bit of experimenting, I was able to reverse this.

I don't know what happens if you've done development work with 2, but I'm pretty sure that can also be worked around, especially if you have a backup/copy of the app pre v2.

I'm happy to try and do this for you (though not for free). 07793 148660 anytime today except 10.30 up to lunchtime.

Adrian, you're not working Pro Bono any more? Will you be having a Christmas or New Year sale?

Not sure if any of Andy's files have become unuseable because of exposure to ff 2.0. I got the impreession that his app is working fine apart from the leftover Amyuni driver associated with the ff 2.0 install.

I think I will abandon Ffenics attempts to produce a pdf (even though it used to), I can just print with the Microsoft print to pdf option.

I've deleted everything I could find relating to Ffenics and Amyuni, and reinstalled Ffenics 1.62, the Amyuni 550 driver doesn't show now, but Ffenics is still not going to pdf. So I'll stick with the Microsoft print to pdf option.

My database has not been affected by Ffenics 2, because I only tested with an archived backup file, which I just deleted anyway.

so, thanks for all the suggestions, and sadly as Ffenics 2 is subscription only - I will never ever be using it.

Andy, sounds like you're almost there. If you select the converter option in a procedure, do you get an error message?

It's worth making sure that your copy is running in Administrator mode. It often makes a difference.
