Duplex printing

Postby Phil Winkler » Tue Sep 18, 2012 12:16 pm

We're working on an app that prints a 19 page form. It uses 9 or 10 separate procedures to do this all wrapped in a control procedure. This is a medical care app and says something about our health care system.

Anyway, it would be ideal to use a printer's duplex printing ability, but sicne these are separate procedures I don't think it will work. Anyone ever approached this before? Printing to a pdf printer? File? chaining to a batch file that concats multiple files into 1?

A good question!

To which I don't have an answer, but there must be some utility to merge multiple PDFs into a single file, which should then be very straightforward to print.

Phil, I was just lunchtime browsing and came across this post. Did you ever get to automate your pdf merging? I've found some command line software that would probably do it. It's free, too.
