Now Booking: Bristol 2013 Fforward With Ffenics Workshop!

Postby Adrian Jones » Thu Sep 05, 2013 3:29 pm

It's that time of the year when I organise my intense, two-day "Forward With Ffenics (And DataEase)" workshop on matters Ffenician and Deasian.

This will be my fifth workshop in Bristol (and seventh in total).

The venue is, as usual, the Bristol Hotel in the centre of Bristol, England.

Dates: Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th November.

The content is currently a work in progress, but will be based around a combination of topics I have in mind, plus whatever options the group favours via the online form.

A key value of these workshops, I'm sure previous attendees will agree, is the chance to discuss issues and ideas with your DE-Ff peers.

I am also working on an external function library. Functions will let you:

  • Validate input such as credit cards, emails addresses, and postcodes
  • Replace text
  • Format dates
  • Count the number of words in a string
  • And a few sundry 'set pieces'.

They also expose the DE-Ff community to regular expressions, a powerful wasy to validate and manipulate text that is used in all walks of IT life.

Workshop delegates will receive a free copy of this library, and we will explore using it and other external functions.

Places are limited this year to 8 delegates, so if you are interested, please reserve your place by visiting:

Look forward to seeing you all in Bristol in November!
