Data Entry Tool - ELF Beta Release

Postby AdaptPeer » Sun Mar 15, 2009 6:00 pm

Hello all,

I would like to announce the beta release of AdaptivePeer's Data Entry Tool, my function library for DataEase/FFenics. You may find product documentation and download link by visiting:

http://www.adaptivepeer.com/DataEntryTool/

Please feel free to email me any questions you may have concerning this function library. I hope that it will add value to your applications!

Thanks,

I bought the product solely for the GetDate() function. The function allows the end user to pick a date from a calendar - a functionality that I've missed in Ff/DFW (I know about a couple of attempts to achieve the same, but the AdaptivePeer approach is by far more easy to install and use).

Excellent work, Jeff!

Jeff, that is most impressive and useful. I enjoyed reading your short bio, too. I installed an early Lab Information System (LIS) in 1982 down in Alabama. It consisted of 5 Burroughs B20 terminals connected to a server with a 60 mb hard drive and a tape backup with 15 inch reels. The operating system was BTOS. The software company went belly up with the first collapse of the software industry so we ended up with the hospitals first group of word processing terminals. :)

The LIS never got implemented.

Hello all,

Due to a recent request, I have republished the Data Entry Tool. It is available at:

Although I am no longer able to test the libray with Ffencis I welcome any issues you may encounter.

Hi Jeff

Is there a readme file to go with the tool, that explains the functions and their syntax?
